Challenge
The gap in the market: Companies are putting too much emphasis on corporate cybersecurity and IT, while often overlooking their physical OT (operational technology) assets out in the field. Leading to inefficiencies, miscommunication, and increased vulnerability to cybersecurity threats. Our client is now bringing these two service offerings together, bridging the gap between IT and OT.
Our challenge was to find a way to simplify how to communicate their service offering. We also had to make sure that we were speaking to the right audience (decision-makers in the C-Suite), without alienating employees out in the field, who would also need to buy-in. Our client needed a strong brand name and identity that appealed to both of these audiences and radiated their values of integrity, innovation, and quality.
Solution
Korland was born. A combination of Kor (for corporate) and land (representing field operations), Korland is a clear representation of connecting the corporate office and the field. This theme of connection was woven into every piece of the brand. The icon created symbolizes both the forward movement and innovation of Korland, as well as the link they create between the office and the field. A clear, bold typeface and strong colour palette were chosen to represent the strength and reliability of the brand. The use of a gradient throughout the marketing materials shows a seamless transition of the two brand colours. The messaging we crafted was focused on how Korland helps to bridge the gap in the market, and how their services help to set up their clients for success. It was important to approach it from the mindset of a busy business owner or executive, and make sure that everything we wrote was clear, concise, and empathetic to their concerns and priorities.
